Pragmatic traditionalists watched same-sex marriage pass and shrugged — it was fine. They watched curriculum battles with more concern. They think kids need boundaries, adults need limits, and communities need continuity. They are allergic to moralising from either direction and tend to believe that most of the problems society now has are things it chose to have.
