The Idea

What Mutualist actually means.

Mutualism envisions a stateless society based on cooperative markets, mutual credit, and decentralized voluntary associations.

Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, a foundational thinker in anarchist and mutualist philosophy, proposed a society based on voluntary cooperation, free credit systems, and worker-owned enterprises. He opposed both capitalist exploitation and centralized state control, advocating for economic arrangements rooted in mutual aid.
