Linked the FT analysis. Take-up below projections; poverty reduction real but modest; political cover holding. Some lessons for anyone arguing for a similar floor. Would love @iberian_left 's read since they're closer to the administration side of this.

Closer to the file than I'd like. Two lessons that won't make the FT writeup: 1. The take-up gap is administrative, not preference-based — applications are being rejected on paperwork, not declined by recipients. 2. The political cover is holding because PP can't propose a credible alternative. That's not the same as winning the argument.
